"It's rude to ask your guest for their food. It shows a lack of hospitality, no!" I spit out. My stomach aches. I could share, but then I wonât be finishing an entire cake myself.
"You are right," he apologized. At that, I shove the last bite into my mouth before he changes his mind. The Pig-King smiles triumphantly. He pats me on the back. "Welcome, Prince. You'll fit in here perfectly. Let me show you to your room. There's all the T.V. and video games you'd like in there." He gives me a basket filled with clothing, remote controls, more snacks, and drinks. Then he leans in to take something off my neck. Some string of beads, of no importance. I guess it's more comfortable to sleep without it. As I lay down, the bed moves to shape itself around me. After what felt like hours of video games, movies, and TV shows, I try to fall asleep.
